Top 3 pregnancy-safe Body OIls

Since our skin is the largest organ of our body and thought to absorb a high percentage of what we slather on it, pregnancy motivated us to swap-out our go-to conventional body lotions and oils in favor of products with a short list of clean ingredients. Simplifying our daily moisturizing routine in this way gave us peace-of-mind and just made us feel so deliciously pampered! These days, we can’t get enough of natural body oils that blend good-for-you essential oils for healthy, supple skin. Our favorite Top 3 Clean Body Oils are easy to apply, fast-absorbing, and give us a soft, dewy glow for a vibrant look all over.

French Girl Lumiere Moonlight Shimmer Oil

Why we love it:

If you’re looking to take your pregnancy glow to the next level, then this is the body oil for you. The French Girl Organics Lumiere Moonlight Oil totes just the perfect amount of ground mica to add the most subtle shimmer to your routine (no need to worry about disco ball sparkle here!). The added sheen is really just a bonus, as the oil itself is chock full of natural ingredients that will make dull skin transform to moisturized and radiant beyond the surface. We also love the scent, since it isn’t overpowering; you can use this oil alone or mixed into one of our Top 3 Non-Toxic Body Lotions for a little feminine, shiny pep in your step. Kora Organics Noni Glow Body Oil

Why we love it:

After stumbling upon Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr’s pregnancy wellness routine and skincare secrets video, we were excited to try her natural skincare line, Kora Organics. We thought, maybe that’s her secret sauce for achieving that healthy, plump dewy skin! We do agree, her products are great, and may very well help give her that beautiful glow. This soothing body oil with a pleasant, light scent is a luxurious blend of organic Noni extract, rosehip, and sunflower seed oils that we use all over our body for super hydrated skin. It’s a pricier item, so if we want to make it last longer, we rotate it with a more affordable daily oil (we like Honest Organic Body Oil as an inexpensive alternative).

Biossance 100% Squalane Oil

Why we love it:

Our favorite part of this oil is that it's so clean – made up of 100% squalane oil – and it’s completely fragrance-free. If you’re looking for a basic, no-nonsense natural oil to use from head to toe, this is a fantastic option. Rub it all over for soft, hydrated skin morning and night, with zero grease factor. The only drawback, we must admit, is its high price point. But, you can run some through the tips of your hair for moisture or blend with your foundation for a dewier glow, so it’s quite the multi-tasker.

Need More Options?

Hyper-sensitive pregnancy nose giving you a red light on any of these products’ scents? Or don’t care for the consistency? Here are a few more of our favorite natural body oils to try:

  • Herbivore Jasmine Body Oil - With such a beautifully floral scent, we love using this as a perfume; apply on shoulders, collar bone, and pulse points.

  • Honest Organic Body Oil – This citrus-scented oil is so affordable (under $10), making it great for everyday use.
