Top 3 natural Bronzers

Whether you are pregnant in the summer or not, a proper bronzer is a makeup bag staple. Not to mention, bronzer can offer some much needed pigment when your nausea has you looking and feeling green. If you’re like us, it likely took some time for you to find a bronzer that blends nicely into your skin tone and can subtly contour without looking streaky. And now here you are having to start the bronzing game all over again; the non-toxic edition. The good news is we have done some preliminary legwork for you and selected our top 3 natural pregnancy-safe bronzers from a creamy pot to a more traditional powder palette, all of which deliver a beautiful bronze glow without the unnecessary chemicals.

Bring your bronzer and all of your pregnancy-safe essentials with you on your Babymoon! We curated the Let’s Get Away Pregnancy Bundle with nontoxic self-care must-haves, and the most beautiful toiletry bag and “Just For You Mama” overnight bag (that doubles as a hospital bag).

Why we love it:

We feel like we’ve tried a million bronzing powders over the years, ever since our high school selves wanted to achieve that just-back-from-spring-break glow. We experimented with inexpensive drugstore compacts and we’ve invested in Sephora’s bestsellers. When we decided to look for clean bronzers, we weren’t sure if we’d be successful at finding a more natural formula we liked as much as our old favorites! But we’ve been pleasantly surprised with this lightweight baked powder bronzer that warms your complexion and hydrates skin with plant-based ingredients from Well People. Since we’re all about keeping our faces out of the sun, this pregnancy-safe bronzer gives us that pretty, beachy, sun-kissed glow we love.

Our favorite clean cream blush is this one from Olio E. Osso!

Why we love it:

Generally speaking, we steer clear of palettes with the mindset that they’re usually low quality and will inevitably have at least one color that is absolutely atrocious and will sit there unused for the life of the palette. That being said, they broke the mold when Tarte made this one. Every pigment is perfectly pretty, to the point that sometimes we stress because we can’t decide which one to use. This palette seriously rivals any of its toxic competitors to where you don’t feel like you are using a non-toxic bronzer at all. Even better, you can use the powders as shimmery eye shadows as well, so it’s truly a one stop glowing shop!

RMS Buriti Bronzer

Why we love it:

It took us a while to get used to applying bronzer with our fingers or sponge, as we were accustomed to a powder and brush format. Once we got the hang of it, we loved the subtle but buildable tint of this pregnancy-safe bronzer. It blends so beautifully with its creamy application that you can’t look streaky, even if you try. So, if you’re going for the super bold contouring look, this bronzer is not for you (see Tarte Pro Glow for a better fit). Conversely, if you want a non-toxic bronzer that looks natural and feels light and dewy, this is a fantastic option.
